Cavities and i cant aford the dentist.?

I have 3 cavities, and if they are real small is there a way to get rid of cavities or is it too late.

Cavities and i cant aford the dentist.?
Sorry, there is no way to make them disappear. Cavities are hole caused mainly by the acid given off as waste by bacteria in your mouth. Since teeth doesn't grow back (neither do gums so watch out for that too) these holes will remain. In theory, more rigorous care will keep them as they are, but nothing will make them go away.

If price is the only issue, try to find a dental school in your area. The student need to do a certain amount of hands on work before they graduate, so they offer low cost care to the community to get people in.

I don't know the price for filling a cavity here, a lot of patients unfortunately wait until it needs to be extracted. That costs $25.
Reply:Going to the dentist now and having the cavities filled, is so much cheaper than waiting till they rot out the tooth and having to have root canal or a crown. It is to late the damage is done, go to the dentist!!!
Reply:The way to "get rid of cavities" is to have them filled.

Find a way to get them taken care of. Possibilities to consider: a dental school; a dental clinic for the poor with rates based a sliding scale; arranging a payment plan with your regular dentist.

Dentistry is expensive, but not getting things taken care of costs even more. I just had a tooth replaced with an implant and it's going to cost me about $5k. See how valuable your teeth are?
Reply:SMALL CAVITIES ARE EASY TO FIX, IF YOU WAIT TILL THEY GET BIGGER THIS CAN/WILL CAUSE ALL SORTS OF PROBLEMS.
Reply:Cavities don't fix themselves. Fix three small cavities now, or three big ones later. Teeth can be reminerized, to a degree, through the use of floride, but it isn't gonna happen. If you do have to put off repair, make sure you keep up the brushing and drop the sugars.

If you can't afford the fillings, shop around for pricing, see if you can make payments, or see if there is a dental school nearby that needs guinea pigs...err..patients. :)
Reply:Jordon, don't wait until they turn into something bigger. Small cavities are easy to fill and much less expensive. If you wait until they turn into a large cavity that can turn into a rootcanal (our area for example, approx.= $730.00-$1085.00). In most cases you would also need a post (in our area approx.=$250) and a crown (in our area approx.= $850.00)

Not an easy fix if you wait!

"Git-r-done!" sooner than later :o)
