Do dentists get cavities, too?

Dentists are always talking about how you should never get cavities your self, but do they have many cavities? And do dentists have dentists, or do they self-examine themselves?

Do dentists get cavities, too?
Most dentists have a fellow colleague exam and fix their teeth.
Reply:Yes, of course they do. My dentist talks about HIS fillings (%26amp; dentist) while working on my teeth. It;s just like the fact that doctors get sick occassionally, car mechanics' cars break down, plumbers have sinks that stop up, etc. - DW
Reply:Of course. Everyone does at one point or another. Teeth don't stay perfect.
Reply:Dentist are people too and if they inherited teeth that are prone to decay, they too can have cavities. A proper diet an good hygiene can minimize the number.

A Dentist can examine his teeth but it would be very difficult to fill his own. However, I have given myself xylocaine and extracted my own.
Reply:THEY USUALLY HAVE MANY LESS. AFTER I BECAME A DENTIST I'VE NEVER HAD A CAVITY.
Reply:Yes, they can. And of course they examine their teeth by themselves or by other dentists. Anyone can get cavities if they don't brush and floss. They have to give an example to their patients of "good teeth". LOL Joke!
Reply:Of course not, dentists are magical, they don't get cavities.
Reply:I have cavities and I see a Dentist regularly. No self-examination nor self medication.
Reply:I'm sure they do
