I have a whole bunch of cavities and i dont know what to do since i am doing everything right.?
Cavities need three things to form: Bacteria, Sugar and Your Teeth! It sounds like your mouth already has the bacteria inside of it (and it sounds like you might also have teeth!). Because you already have two of the factors, you need to decrease the amount of sugar you take in. Every time you eat something sugary, the environment in your mouth becomes acidic because the bacteria uses the sugar as food and produces an acid that causes your teeth to become decayed. The more times you eat sugary things in a day, the more time your mouth is acidic and the more chance you're giving for the acid to make holes in your teeth. Thus, reduce your sugar intake or at least decrease the amount of times you have sugar per day. Sipping on soda all day long or grazing on candy can really cause a problem! Lastly, keep up the diligent brushing every time you eat any sugar. Good luck!
Reply:Quit the candy and pop.
Reply:Some people just get cavities no matter what they do. Make sure to brush before you go to bed because that is the time most acids build up and destroy teeth.
Reply:use fluoride toothpaste, drink more water to haf more saliva b'cos the saliva helps to buffer the acidity of the saliva to 7.. or u can get dental sealants
Reply:First thing you should do is seek the services of another dentist. You could have somehting going on. For example, I know of someone with a similar problem and it turned out that she had a bone deficiency in her teeth.... ( or maybe it was called a calcium deficiency~somehting like that). Anyways, she got fed up with it and had all her teeth pulled when she was just in her 30's. She could have had somehting else done, procedures and medication, but she chose the 'cheaper' fix . But really, find a dentist that can help you get to the bottom of this! Maybe an orthodontist would be more helpful.
Reply:Are you brushing after each meal or at least twice a day? You may be brushing, but not brushing the correct way. Ask your dentist for disclosing tablets (sometimes you can get them at the store too). After you brush, you chew this tablet, swish your mouth out and your teeth will be purple where you didn't brush well enough. Then you can brush where you missed. This will also teach you where you need to brush better.

Another thing --- cut down on the sodas or other sugary drinks. The carbonation in the soda eats the enamel on your teeth making them more vulnerable for cavities.

My kids had their back molars sealed at the dentist office. It's some kind of clear barrier they put on the teeth to help prevent cavities.
Reply:Ask your dentist what you can do
Reply:use floride toothpaste or just leave floride in ur mouth for several minutes they come in different flavore. ans stop the candy, gum and sweets. eat healthy foods. brushing long doesnt do anything, brushing more often helps. i hate flossing and thats why i have cavities too, putting a piece of yarn in ur mouth is gross, but we stil have to do it. so try to floss after u eat something.

hope u dont get any more cavities
Reply:Find a Dentist that employs a Hygienist she will give you the best advice!!!! on what you can do to avoid getting more cavities.
