For example, I have heard diet sodas cause cavities because it is acidic. I always thought that diet soda was okay because it didn't have sugar, but my friend told me otherwise. What are some other things that can cause cavities that you might not think would.

Reply:There are a lot of food that can cause cavities if you don't take care of your teeth. Yes, your friend is correct. Soda can cause cavities. Other things that can cause cavities are vegetables, peanuts, sticky food, acidic food with vinegar, etc. Actually, all the food that we eat can cause cavities. It's just some cause more cavities compared to the others. Why do you think dentists always have patients? :)
Reply:diet drinks or anything containing acid will cause errosion of the enamel and then further errosion of the dentine, this eventually will cause a cavity, attrition and abrasion can also cause cavities, eg. grinding and clenching of the jaw and biting on objects such as pens etc. look after your teeth, you would miss them if there gone and dentures really arnt appealing!!!
