What if toothpaste causes cavities?

I was talking to somebody the other day about the fact that some people spend so much time trying to keep their teeth in perfect shape and somehow they always end up with cavities - And then there's the other type of person who barely has to brush their teeth and they stay cavity-free, and that got me thinking. What if toothpaste has some kind of substance that slowly deteriorates teeth? Wouldn't dentists just recommend this type of thing so that they can make a profit margin?





I'm not normally the kind of guy who bothers with conspiracies, but it's definitely a weird concept. Maybe it's not just in our genes...

I am 51 years old and have never had a filling. This is because I always got second opinions if a dentist said he saw a cavity. I have been told ever since I was 8 or 9 that I had cavities, but never the same story by a second dentist. My current dentist has never seen a cavity in the 12 or more years that I have been going to him. My humble advice is if possible to go to dentists that charge higher fees for cleaning and to get second opinions if possible. You are going to have to pay for their new sports car some how, and I figure it is better to pay for it with expensive cleanings rather than imaginary cavities.

Reply:no no no no no tooth past is just there to give a taste to your mouth while brushing... tooth past is not something that you must use . furthermore , there are some people that are just prone to cavities. you have asked a very good question that many people do not know. a good way to prevent cavities is to use Fluoride tooth past . cavities are also caused by lack of hygiene such as not flossing . as bacteria stays on your tooth surface it forms a acid that starts eating your enamel CAUSING CAVITY. so brush floss use fluoride its not possible that you get cavity .
