ok so the last time i went to the dentist was the summer of 2005 and i didnt have any cavities but my dentist wasnt very good and he didnt know what he was doing. so this month about 2 weeks ago i went to the dentist. i had about 3 cavities and i made an appointment to get them filled in july. it happened to be the week that i have important plans that i really wish i could change but i cant. and now i get them filled on august 7th and 8th. so i was just wondering if the longer you wait to get a cavity filled, does it get worse the longer you wait? i have braces and its really hard to get to brushing in every little spot. but please help me!!!!
Ahhhh cavities helppp!!!!!!?
Don't sweat it....cavities grow really pretty slowly so waiting isn't going to hurt anything. Just don't put it off too long or you WILL have trouble.
Reply:Yes, waiting to get a cavity filled can most definatley make it worse, however, I don't think it is going to make a huge difference if you wait an extra few weeks. I doubht your tooth will fall out, LOL.
Oh, if you have braces, try to get a dental pick, the one with the rubber end, also maybe try a soft smaller compact toothbrush, or a battery operated toothbrush, and see if that helps :)
Good Luck to you!!
