I mean, what happens after a dentist tells you that you have cavities? Does he take your tooth out, or what? Also, what do fillings do? Do they kill the cavity or what? Very confused!
What happens when you get cavities?
Hi. Im a dental assistant. Cavities are decayed areas of your tooth. No, they won't take your tooth out unless the tooth is so severely decayed (huge cavity) that it can't be saved. Fillings take the place of the cavities. The dentist will numb the tooth, remove the decay with the drill and replace it with a filling material called amalgam or composite resin. Amalgam fillings are the silver-colored ones. Composites are tooth colored.
Reply:I think that they basically kill the cavity things and block the tooth from being completely ruined. THey won't pull your teeth out unless it's really serious (like you can see holes and decay)
Reply:dentist drills the **** out of it then fills it no pain but the vibration makes you dizzy
Reply:IF YOU DON'T GET IT TAKEN CARE OF THEN YOU WILL LOSE THE TOOTH
AFTER HE REMOVES THE CAVITY HE WILL REPLCE THE HOLE WITH A FILLING TO PRESERVE THE TOOTH AND HELP IT LAST A LOT LONGER
THIS IS THE IMPORTANCE OF BRUSHIN THEM CHOPPERS EVERY DAY
Reply:small one will be repaired. big one you should imagine it if you have got in an car accident and what's left is only the steering, do you still consider yourself have a car?
