Will the cavities get worse?

I found out yesterday I need four fillings in my teeth, but when I phoned the dentist today to make another appointment they said I have to have them done 2 at a time, and they gave me two appointments, but the first one isn't for 6 weeks, and then next one is 2 weeks after that.

Won't the cavities get worse in that time? My sister says if I don't stop eating sweets they'll get really bad and they'll be really sore. Is that true? Should I stop eating sweets until I've had the fillings done? What should I do to stop them getting worse?

Lots of water helps clean the tooth. Floss and brush. Preventy stuff from tainting and rotting in your teeth.
Reply:Just be sure to use proper dental hygine and you'll be ok.
Reply:they will get worse but not much the dentist will drill away any damage.
Reply:yes they'l get worse and worse better to just lok after them
Reply:Just use to chewing saffron herbs u ll be ok with in a week.
Reply:cavities are caused by plaque,,,plaque acids that eat away at calcium tooths,,put a milk tooth in coke(acidic) and it'll disolve overnight. Plaque is caused by sugars-carbohydrates that stay on the tooth. So 1. avoid sugar and sweet things, including carbohydrates-which is a sugar. Eating carbohydrates with fat makes it stick to the teeth,,,like eating crisps and coke,,your teeth get fury. 2. Brush your teeth- get rid of plaque and minimise further deteriation. Hope this helps
Reply:If your molars are involved, ask your dentist to fill them with third generation (at least) composite resins instesd of mercury amalgams. It's worth the little extra because your health benefits in the long run. If he declines, bid him goodbye.

Sweets and foods laced with sugar, regardless whether or not they're sucrose, fructose or glucose, including soda pop etc. is society's scourge. It's responsible for not only tooth cavities but also obesity, hypoglycemia and type 2 diabetes.

It's important, at your age, to ensure that your food intake be rich in calcium and magnesium for starters. One of the easiest ways to do this is to consume organically grown fruits and vegetables.

Obtaining extra calcium from milk is a myth. If you're relying on milk as your prime source of calcium, you're fooling yourself. Milk also contains high levels of phosphorus. Excess phosphorus intake vs. calcium eventually leads to osteoporosis, which results from eating foods high in protein eg: processed cereals, meats, cheese etc.

Educate yourself on this subject. You'll end up living a long and happy cavity and osteoporosis free life.
Reply:my experience is that the doctor try to give you the ability to eat while teeth are being repaired. if all 4 are done at once, you will have to open your mouth day and night.

while treatment is in schedule, all possible preventions is advisable. stop anything funny with your teeth as if you want the best for them.
